HERE ARE SOME IDEAS ON WHO TO ENGAGE 

FIRE DEPARTMENTS

• Look for ways to partner with local fire departments and agencies to support wildfire readiness.

• Ask how your club might be able to help support the fire department on how to get the word out about wildfire preparedness.
  
  
• Request a wildfire expert from the fire department to speak at your club on defensible space or home hardening.
  ​
• Fire Department community events --see if you can have a Rotary Wildfire Ready table with available resources and volunteers.

SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT 

• Ask how your club might be able to help support the Sheriff's department on how to get the word out about emergency notifications and evacuation plans.

• Request a Sheriff's department representative to speak at your club about emergency notifications and evacuation preparednes.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

• Neighborhood Ambassadors -- some communities have Neighborhood Ambassadors who work directly with fire departments on wildfire preparedness.   Consider getting involved as a Neighborhood Ambassador or help provide Rotary Wildfire Ready resources to these organizations to help them get the word out to residents.

• HOA's, Churches, other service organizations, your Chamber of Commerce -- share Rotary Wildfire Ready resources with community organizations.
