BECOME A PARTNER
To become a partner, you'll need to complete the Memorandum of Agreement and Partner Information sheet -- these will outline Rotary Wildfire Ready's relationship and capture key information.
BUILD YOUR TEAM
Key roles you should consider:
- Chairperson - a person to coordinate the effort.
- Community Outreach- a person to collaborate with other local organizations -- like local fire departments other wildfire experts and, other non-profits.
- Event Coordinator - a person who will organize events, and help provide volunteer training and staffing for local events.
- Social Media -- a person who can share Rotary Wildfire Ready digital content and events across local social media platforms.
CREATE A BUDGET
Talk with your Club's Community Service Leader:
You need to identify the financial support you are looking for to support your Rotary Wildfire Ready efforts from your Club's Community Service team.
Figure out your budget: To get started, a $500 budget should cover your initial printing costs for two 8x11 flyers for your local events as well as a table display and banner. You should have a budget in hand when you meet with your Community Service Team.
Determine what you want to do: You'll want to decide if you want to try to do a few events or just print out materials to share with local organizations. Some local events are free and some charge a fee for non-profits so it's important to determine what events you would like to attend and how much that might impact your budget.
Consider Sponsors: You might find local business who might want to help sponsor your wildfire readiness efforts and help offset costs -- sponsors could include banks, insurance or real estate companies and more.
